I am Polish and I am moving back to Warsaw soon. I have never lived in Warsaw as I was born in the south. What is a good area for kids? I have three kids, so I am interested in a place that has access to parks but also local schools and such. Local transport is not a big issue and my budget is flexible.

Hi Kasia, nice to see you back 😉
I would say Ochota with it’s Szczesliwice park with skiing slope, a small lake, swimming pools, rollerblades etc.. would be my first choice,
Then, Zoliborz – Kepa Potocka where in the summer there are plenty of events for the youngests… and Plac Wilsona with a small but nice Park as well.
On the other hand you have Kabaty with it’s Kabacki forrest – if you get a walk or bikes you may get to Piaseczno fairly easily with it’s best around park that has everything including fireplaces, open swimming pools, table tenis, tenis courts, ropeline-park, and more.

Write me back if you need any more precise directions.
